Our open yoga classes are primarily vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa flow (pron. Vin-ya-sa) means to place in a special way. Vinyasa is inspired by many different forms of yoga, with the strong foundation in the Vinyasa style Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga traditions. This is an invigorating practice with the creative and playful sequencing that has been combined with several Qigong/Tai Chi movements, breathwork and mantras. We honor the body’s inherent dynamism by moving fluidly from pose to pose in synchronized rhythm with breath. Cultivating strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, focus and serenity. Often referred to as meditation in motion, clearing and steadying the bodymind while opening the spirit to its fullest and awareness of blissful being.
