Jing Yoga Open Classes

Our open yoga classes are primarily vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa flow (pron. Vin-ya-sa) means to place in a special way. Vinyasa is inspired by many different forms of yoga, with the strong foundation in the Vinyasa style Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga traditions. This is an invigorating practice with the creative and playful sequencing that has been combined with several Qigong/Tai Chi movements, breathwork and mantras.

We honor the body’s inherent dynamism by moving fluidly from pose to pose in synchronized rhythm with breath. Cultivating strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, focus and serenity. Often referred to as meditation in motion, clearing and steadying the bodymind while opening the spirit to its fullest and awareness of blissful being.

This class provides modifications and variations that are offered throughout to accommodate students who are relatively newer or more experienced. Great for new students, great for experienced students. Each class includes sun salutations, standing poses, backbends, forward bends, twists, hip openers and inversions and basic tai chi/qigong movements. Some classes also offer core integration and some introduce basic arm balances poses, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) included.

I invite you to join me and make an investment in YOU by learning HOW to increase your level of energy, improve your health and discover a true state of happiness and peace.
